On the day and time of the Presidential Inauguration (January 20, 12 noon) we celebrate and uphold Isadora Duncan's vision for all Women and a unified humanity by celebrating the life-affirming dances of Isadora Duncan in the year of her 140th birthday.
The repertory of this early 20th century revolutionary artist, women's liberationist and visionary will be performed to live music by the companies of Isadora notables Lori Belilove, Jeanne Bresciani, Catherine Gallant, Beth Jucovy and Adrienne Ramm, and Andrea Mantell Seidel. Seidel will offer insights from her newly published book, Isadora in the 21st Century, that will be available for sale and signing. "Oh she is coming, the dancer of the future: The highest intelligence in the freest body! The dancer will not belong to a nation but to all humanity." Isadora Duncan
We open with the dance that opened all of Isadora’s concerts, the Ave Maria, and close with Rosepetals.
